I have way too much help typing

We have a new kitten. She was across the street from our house last Friday evening crying as if her whole world had come to an end. I didn't know what to do with her. We're expecting a litter of puppies any day now and certainly don't need to add another animal to the mix at this point. I tried everybody I could think of on Friday night... to no avail. No one would shelter a poor, innocent kitten until a new home could be found for her. I knew... even as I chose not to throw the poor, yowling kitten back outside where she would certainly be run over on our busy street... I knew... a kitten who spends the night in a house full of young boys would not be finding a new home. Now I have way more help than I need whenever I try to use the computer.

She's a really pretty kitten! I love the patch of darker fur on her face. I don't think you said, but what's her name.

Sam named her Goofball, Chris calls her Mary or Kitten. Dave likes Goofball, I call all cats Kitten.... I guess her name is still in flux, but it will probably end up being Goofball.

I think she has some interesting color genetics going on. She is pointed and shaded like a Siamese. She has beige and white and seal colored spots like a strangely colored calico. She has some striping like a tabby. We think she's just cute!

Your kitty is so cute! She is a very rare color--a dilute calico-tabby snowshoe. Snowshoe is the breed name for siamese mix, named so because they usually have white paws...although my friend Sandy (a dog person) always liked to tease me that there's no such thing as different cat breeds.

Your kitty is really super-cute! I love her markings on her side--the fact that they seem to be tabby swirls instead of stripes are extra-rare. You really do have a one in a million kitten.

You are such a kind and good-hearted person to take in a stray. I hope that if you do keep her long term that you can do low-cost spay/neuter through a shelter or something--that's what I always do. Of our 5 cats, 3 of them have 'arrived' much like yours just did---but foundlings do bring lots of joy!

Happy kitty to you!

Don't get me wrong Janet, your my oldest and best friend, but it just sounded odd to hear you described as "such a kind and good-hearted person." Hey I know you'd be thinking the same about me! LOL

Gee... thanks a lot Amy. I think.

We have good relationships with several vets in the area and my mother works for a diognostic lab near here where we recieve free vet care when student vets are interested in whatever issue we're dealing with. No fears, if we don't want babies we don't have them.

LOL! Been there! We have two extra cats who were supposed to be here "only until we found them a good home."
At least your keyboard drawer will be dusted regularly. :o)

Very nice to meet you! Thanks for your comment.

Peace and Laughter!
